Sravasti - Lumbini
225 kmsAfter breakfast at hotel,proceed for the sightseeing tour of Sravasti including visit Sahet Mahet, capital of ancient Kingdom of Kosala, Jetvana Vihar & Buddhist temples. Later drive to Lumbini. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha, was located in 1890 after being untraced for 1,500 years.Three hundred years after the Mahaparinirvana, Emperor Ashoka visited Lumbini and erected a pillar there. This pillar, though broken, still remains at the site. It is known as the Rummendei Pillar after the earlier name of the place (modern name Rupandhei) in Nepal.
Lumbini - Kushinagar
After breakfast in hotel, take a half day guided tour of Lumbini, declared a World Heritage Site. Visit the Sacred Gardens, Ashoka pillar and Lumbini Museum.Later drive to Kushinagar via Kapilavastu. 91 kms from Lumbini is Kapilavastu, where Lord Buddha spent the formative years of his youth; where he saw suffering and pain, disease and death. Visit the main stupa complex, eastern stupa and the ruins of the palace. Continue drive for Kushinagar - the place where Buddha passed into Parinirvana.Upon arrival check in to the hotel.
Kushinagar - Varanasi
260 kms / 06 hrsAfter breakfast at hotel proceed for the half day tour of Kushinagar visiting the Ramabha stupa, which stands, on the spot where the body of the Lord was cremated. Also visit Natha Kumarka Kot enshrining the large recumbent figure of Buddha in the state of Nirvana. Drive to Varanasi and upon arrival check in to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.Varanasi is one of the oldest cities in the world. It has served as the most significant pilgrimage site for Hindus for the last three centuries. It is more than 6 centuries older than the period of Christ. Buddha gave his first sermon nearby here in Sarnath. The history dates back 2,500 years when an Aryan tribe settle in this land from the North.While there are more than 200 temples and 52 ghats along the holy river Gagnes, few buildings are older than the 16th century since when Muslim armies, lead by Qutbuddin Aibak, raided in the 11th century, they destroyed all the ancient Hindu temples.
Morning proceed for the boat ride at river Ganges. Back to hotel for breakfast then proceed for the tour to Sarnath - the principle centre of Buddhism. It was here around 530 B.C that Buddha preached his 1st sermon after gaining enlightenment. Visit the Choukhandi Stupa, Dhamekh and Dharmarajika stupas. Return to Varanasi. Varanasi - Bodhgaya

Enroute to Rajgir, stopover at the Baraliar caves - the earliest examples of rock cut caves. Most impressive craftsmanship of carving and rock inscription can be seen.
