The nearest airport is Jorhat Airport, located about 20 kilometers from the ferry terminal at Nimati Ghat. The airport has regular flights connecting Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, and other major Indian cities. From the airport, visitors travel by road to Nimati Ghat and then take a ferry across the Brahmaputra River to reach Majuli.

Majuli is connected by road through Jorhat. Visitors first travel to Nimati Ghat, from where government and private ferries operate daily to Majuli. Taxis, buses, and private vehicles are available from Jorhat and nearby towns.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Jorhat Town Railway Station, which is connected with Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, and several other cities. From the railway station, visitors travel to Nimati Ghat by road before boarding a ferry to Majuli.
