Itinerary

  1. Day 01

    - Cochin

    By Flight

    Upon your arrival at Cochin Airport you will be met and assisted by Go India Holiday representative and transferred to Hotel, complete your check in formalities, After free for leisure. Overnight at Cochin 
    Cochin: Cochin is the natural created by the famed underwater Malabar mud-banks whose quality ensures that the rougher the seas are outside, calmer the waters are within the Harbour. Vasco-de-Gama placed it on the world map. It has a Jewish synagogue, Portuguese churches, mosques and Hindu temples, the Chinese Fishing Nets etc.

  2. Day 02

    Cochin

     

    Today morning after breakfast start your city tour with Mattancherry Palace also known as the Dutch Palace, check out the interiors of the palace that are decorated with the mural's from Ramayana and there are some lively displays of royal costumes and palanquins. Then proceed to the St. Francis Church built by the Portuguese in 1510 AD and is believed to be the oldest church built by the Europeans in India. Later visit Bolghatty Palace and Jewish Synagogue. In the evening back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

  3. Day 03

    Cochin - Kumarakom

    Alleppey (85 kms / 02 hrs)

    Today morning after breakfast Proceed to Alleppey, Known as the Venice of the East. On arrival check into a traditional Houseboat of Kerala Style and cruise through the backwaters. (Traditional Kerala food will be served). The houseboats are giant country Crafts, measuring up to 80 feet length. It looks great skill and meticulousness to construct these giants by tying huge planks of jack wood together, without the use of a single nail. Today these are the most exciting tourism product in India, which usually has one or two bath rooms, an open lounge, deck, kitchenette and crew comprising oarsmen and a cook. Overnight in Houseboat.

  4. Day 04

    Kumarakom - Munnar

    180 kms / 04 hrs

    Morning disembark the houseboat and drive to Munnar. On arrival, check in at the resort. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Visit – Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Eravikulam Wildlife sanctuary, famous for Nilagiri Tahr and Tea gardens & Tea Plantation. You never feel tired. The enchanting beauty of Munnar beats the sweat of your brow. Later you will lead to your hotel room early to have your own world. Overnight stay in, Munnar.

  6. Day 06

    Munnar - Periyar

    145 kms / 03 hrs

    Morning after breakfast, 0900 Hrs check out from Hotel and we take you to Thekkady (120 Kms) i.e. about four hours of journey. Throughout this journey you can enjoy different types of spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla, pepper, etc. On arrival at Thekkady check into Hotel. After taking some rest, go for Boating in the Periyar Lake, one of the popular tourist attractions. Evening you are lucky to avail, Kathakali The traditional dance performance , Spice plantation Tour and Ayurvedic massage. Overnight stay in Hotel at Thekkady at Hotel.

  7. Day 07

    Periyar

     

    Morning after breakfast visit the Periyar National Park. Watching the rare and endangered species of the animals such as Asian elephants, barking deer, gaur, sambar, wild dogs and strolling in their herds, provides you the most enchanting experience of the lifetime. Apart from exploring the different species of plants and animals you can also enjoy wildlife photography. Overnight stay at the hotel.

  8. Day 08

    Periyar - Madurai

    After breakfast,Periyar for Madurai. Arrive and check-in Hotel. Afternoon visit to Meenakshi Amman temple which is an excellent example of South India Temple Architecture. Also visit to Alagar Kovil and evening visit to Naicker Mahal Palace. Overnight at hotel.

    Madurai - Thanjavur

    After breakfast,henMadurai for Tanjavur. Arrive and check-in Hotel. Visit the Big Temple or Brigadeeswarar temple. Also visit the Palace. Overnight at hotel.

  10. Day 10

    Thanjavur - Pondicherry

    140 kms / 04 hrs

    After breakfast check out the hotel and start your drive from Tanjavur to Darasuram, visit the temple of Aikateswarar, then drive to Chidambaram, visit to Sri Nataraja Temple. Drive on to Pondicherry. Upon arrival check in at hotel, evening free for leisure. Overnight at hotel.

    Pondicherry - Mamallapuram

    100 kms / 02 hrs

    After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Pondicherry which includes visit to the Vardaraja Perumal Temple, Vedapureeswarar Temple & Manakula Vinayagar Temple.Reach Mamallapuram in the evening. Overnight at hotel.

    Mamallapuram

     

    Mahabalipuram - This is a small, quiet seaside resort with a unique 7th-century Shore Temple, a lovely beach and some of the most beautiful rock-cut temples in the world. Situated on the shore of the Bay of Bengal, Mahabalipuram was already a famous seaport in the 1st century AD. This town was a workshop for temple building. Visit the seven pagoda-style Shore temples, lashed by the waves of the sea and the seven rathas or temple chariots, a group of monolithic monuments & animal figures carved out of solid rock, the earliest known examples of Dravidian architecture. They were constructed in a single century-long burst of creative enthusiasm, starting in the reign of Narasimhavarman 1 (AD 630-68). End the visit by photography of the beautiful Shore temples at sunset. Overnight at Hotel.

    Mamallapuram - Chennai

    After morning breakfastdrive to Kanchipuram, which is 65 kms. and approx. 1½ hrs. drive, Kanchipuram - known as the Golden City of a Thousand Temples, is one of the oldest towns in India. It is famous for both its temples, many of them remarkably well preserved and for its hand-woven silks. Kanchipuram is one of the seven sacred cities of India and it is the only one associated with both Shiva and Vishnu. Visit Ekambareshwar Temple, Kailashnath Temple, Kamakshi Temple, the Vaikunthaperumal Temple, all built in the 7th and 8th centuries. With a weaving tradition dating back to the Pallava era (when silk was the royal cloth), Kanchipuram is justly famous for its particularly fine silk saris, embellished with stunning patterns. Visit the local homes of the weavers and watch them create magic out of silk thread into saris. After continue drive for Chennai just 75 kms from Kanchipuram. Upon arrival check in at hotel.   14. Day 14

    Chennai

     

    Morning proceed for city tour of Chennai. It is the fourth largest city in India. The sprawling city which is divided in two by the cooum River, has few tall buildings to mark the impression of an easygoing market town. The gracefulness is present in Madras in such liberal quantities is propriate. Visit the Fort St. George - Still surrounded by cannon-proof walls. Within the fort, visit St. Thomas Mount, San Thome Cathedral, Kapaleeswar Temple and the National Art Gallery. Night in Chennai.

    Chennai

     

    After breakfast, free for leisure on time depart for airport to connect flight for onwards destination.
